If you could go anywhere right now, where would it If you could go anywhere right now, where would it be? ✈️
Never thought I would share something like this on Never thought I would share something like this on my social media, but it’s important to me to use this platform not only as a highlight reel of my life but also to build a community of authenticity and support.

(Trigger warning) It’s National Eating Disorder Awareness Week, so I’m choosing to share my story with all of you in hopes that it will bring awareness to the issue and let anybody who needs to hear it know that they aren’t alone.

I suffered in secret with an eating disorder and severe body dysmorphia for nearly 10 years. I hid behind the brightness of a cheerleader’s smile when in reality I was hiding in the dark with self-hatred and shame that at times I doubted I’d ever be able to overcome. I truly feared for my life, but the fear of letting people see me struggle was looming over me just the same.

Luckily, with professional help and an amazing support system, I eventually learned to let people love me for all of who I am. More importantly, I learned to love myself. There was a time not too long ago that I didn’t think this was possible.

But instead of focusing on the past, I’m celebrating the life I’ve been able to take back for myself. Of course not every day is perfect. I’m still growing and recovering, but I’m now the happiest and healthiest I’ve been...well, ever. I’m forever grateful to the people who helped me get here.

If you struggle with eating/body image issues, I want you to know that you’re loved, supported, and f*cking strong for how far you have yet to come. Please feel free to reach out to me if you need resources or just someone to listen. I love you 🤍
